Thinking of You

I'm back from holiday and I'm refreshed and renewed! A few days away with my family, in a beachside bach - just what I needed. It's not possible to swim in the sea at this time of year without a full body wetsuit, but it's lovely to walk on the beach and just enjoy the peace.

Today's card is CASE'd (copy and share everything) from Lori Pinto. It's a monochromatic card (I love making those some of the time), and it's using Background Bits, which is retiring soon.

The only colour used in this card is Fresh Fig. That includes cardstock, ink, ribbon.

I'm using a standard NZ card size, with the Whisper White card stock being 10.5cm x 14.9cm

The Fresh Fig layer is 10cm x 14.4cm. The Whisper White cardstock in front is 9.5cm x 13.9cm

On that piece card, I stamped the background writing top left and bottom right, after stamping off once. I then adhered the Fresh Fig Sheer Ribbon.

Next I used a square of Whisper White that measured 7cm x 7cm, and stamped the background stamp repeatedly (after stamping off once). I then used full strength Fresh Fig for the flowers and the sentiment (from Teeny Tiny Sentiments). This was adhered to a square layer of Fresh Fig (measuring 7.5cm x 7.5cm)

All done. Quick and simple, but elegant and effective.
