This week's Global Design Project Challenge is 'CASE the Designer', and we are CASing a card by the very talented Brian King.
This is his card:
I love using Designer Series Paper (DSP) as a card front as all the work is done for you! I finally managed to cut into my Delightful Daisy DSP (I find it really hard to cut paper that I love - although someone tried to change my mindset once and told me that cutting it just means you have to buy another pack!) and I love the result!
The card base is Calypso Coral (14.9cm x 21cm, scored along the 10.5 line and folded in half)
I then used the DSP that I cut to 14.4cm x 10cm, so it was nicely matted on the card front.
Next I cut a piece of Wisteria Wonder card stock 3cm x 11cm, then I used the Banner Triple punch to cut the end.
The Sweet and Sassy framelits cut out both cards, and the sentiment (from the Beautiful You stamp set) was stamped in Basic Black.
And that's all there was to it! Plain and simple, but lovely in that simplicity.
