I was in the mood for something a little different, so I tried the monochromatic look. I'm a real fan of the Berry Burst colour - I love it's fresh vibrancy - so I paired that with Powder Pink and made a cute Thank you card.
I used my standard card base size - 14.9cm x 21cm, scored along the 10.5cm mark. That was in Powder Pink, then I used a Berry Burst mat of 14.4cm x 10cm, then a Powder Pink card front that was 13.9cm x 9.5cm,
Always using these mat sizes means that I can now cut out my sizes really quickly - I don't need to remember anything more complicated than the first dimension, then I just subtract 0.5cm from each of the next dimensions.
Next I stamped with Berry Burst ink on the Berry Burst Cardstock, and punched out my daisy. It was easier than I expected. The punch fit the stamp beautifully - I didn't have to rotate the stamp looking for the right fit. I then curled the petals back slightly so it would stand out more on the card. I put the Gold Faceted Gem on the middle of the flower.
Next I stamped the daisy randomly on the card front, again using Berry Burst Ink. I then stamped the sentiment (using Berry Burst again) on a piece of Powder Pink cardstock, and cut out another length of the Berry Burst card stock to use as a mat to the sentiment.
I used a pile of 4 dimensionals to put the flower on the card - the middle of the flower is just the right size to hid a 'normal size' dimensional. Putting the 4 there just allowed it to keep the shape.
And it was as simple as that - no fuss, no mess, just the way I like things!
