Timeless Tulips - Just Timeless

I love the elegance of this card, it really doesn't need anything much said about it at all.  I chose not to add a sentiment, however you could easily put one on there.  It could be a Birthday Card, a Sympathy Card, or a 'Just Because' Card.

See what I mean?  It's just one stamp set, two colours of ink, two colours of cardstock and an embossing folder.  I also used a Stitched Rectangle Die.

Saying Thank You In Style

This card is inspired by one that Narelle Farrugia made - in fact mine is almost a replica, but I loved hers so much, I just had to make it.  

I love the Pool Party that provides all the colour to this card, and I did make one change from Narelle's original - I used the Subtle Embossing Folder on the card front, although I wasn't able to get it to show in the photo.

I've used the Painted Poppies stamp set, and my sentiment comes from the Peaceful Moments set.

I fussy cut the flowers and the leaves, and I used a sponge dauber to apply the colour.

I'm not generally very good at fussy cutting, so I was quite impressed with my efforts for this card.

Thank you cards are so lovely to send, and so lovely to receive.  They always bring a smile to my face.

Sail Away (but stay at home)

The Silver Stampers are a small group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Christchurch, New Zealand.  We love to craft, and being in social isolation from each other doesn't change that.  We've been having online meetings, and this is a way of sharing our work with you.  Today we've focussed on the Come Sail Away Suite of products.  In New Zealand we can't actually sail away anywhere, but we can still enjoy the thought!

Here is my contribution to the blog hop:

Light houses have featured for many years in my husband's family - they used to live over near Akaroa, on Banks Peninsula, and the lighthouse there was always a favourite place to visit whenever they went to Akaroa for supplies.

For this card, I've used Basic Black, Real Red and Whisper White cardstocks, and I've used the Light Real Red Blends, Light Daffodil Delight Blends and the Light Old Olive Blend to colour the grass.

You can just see the yellow colour in the windows of the lighthouse up the top.  I've used Memento Black ink, and the sentiment is from the Perennial Birthday stamp set.  I've used White Embossing Powder and heat embossed the sentiment.

Overall, a quick and simple card that showcases this stamp set really well.

Poppy Parade makes a simple, easy card

I was speaking with a colleague, and I learned that she was about to have a self-transplant of her bone marrow to fight multiple myeloma.  What this potentially meant was several weeks in isolation in a hospital ward.  I thought stamping might be something she would enjoy doing whilst in isolation (if she felt well enough), so I ran a mini class for her at work, and she loved the card we made!

I pre-cut everything the way I would for a class, and I had everything ready to go - she loved the stamping, and the fact that she could make a beautiful card in minutes with some preparation beforehand.

For this card I used Blackberry Bliss and Whisper White card stock, Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper, and the Painted Poppies stamp set.  

I coloured the image with Blackberry Bliss ink and an Aqua Painter.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from a Sale-a-bration item which is no longer available, but lots of Stampin' Up! stamp sets have lovely Happy Birthday sentiments you could use.
