Pinterest Favourites for this week

Welcome to my blog!

Today I'm going to show you what my favourite Pinterest saves were this week. I have to be very careful on Pinterest as I can waste heaps of time...so I've learned to put a timer on, and then actually stopping when the timer goes off!

I was thinking about this as I put this blog together, and it's a really nice way of showing you projects made with products that I don't own. As much as I would love to 'have it all', that's not possible. Also good to show you different styles to my own.

Love What You Do

Those who know me would tell you that I'm very deliberate about things I do, and my crafting style follows this - everything that can be straight I aim to have perfectly straight. I've been seeing lots of people ripping paper to give a less rigid affect, and I finally used it myself for the first time.

This is a super simple card, but I think it's lovely - and the ripped paper stops it from being too clinical.

I started with a base of Crumb Cake cardstock, and used Berry Burst card stock for the mat. Next I have a piece of the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper, and then a smaller piece of another sheet of the same series of paper. The pink striped one I ripped very carefully - it was easy to rip it straightish (or I would never have managed to be happy with it).

I finished off the card with a piece of Whisper White cardstock, and I stamped the sentiment with Memento Black ink. The sentiment is from the Love What You Do stamp set. Three of the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls

Stampin' Up! have released one of their suite of products from the new Annual Catalogue early!

As an aside, the Designer Series Paper in this suite is stunning. It's a very thick paper (probably not as thick as the Painted With Love paper, in case you're familiar with that), but definitely a lot thicker than most of the papers. Great for making boxes and gift bags. It's also a double pack, so you get twice as much paper to use in all your projects.

You'll note on the flier that the new In Colour ink pads are also for sale, so if you just can't wait to start using those colours, you're in luck!

An 'Impossible' card - made possible!

Thank you for stopping by!

I didn't actually make today's card - it was made by my very talented downline Lyn Vida, who doesn't have a blog, but has given me permission to use her card tonight.

I don't know if you've seen the new 'Impossible' cards that are popular right now - rather than try and explain how to make it using lots of words, I'll put the link to the You Tube tutorial that Lyn used below, and I'll let you know what products she used to make this card her own.

All the products that Lyn used are fromm the Share What You Love bundle that was released yesterday! Demonstrators were able to purchase this bundle for the last month, so

that's how Lyn already has her products. If you'd like to get your hands on yummy new products before they are released to customers, let me know!

The card base is Tranquil Tide cardstock, and the sentiment is from the Love What You Do stamp set.

For the words in the sentiment, Lyn used the new In Colour - Call Me Clover, and for the flowers on the same piece of card she used another new In Colour - Grapefruit Grove. Don't these colours look amazing together!

The Designer Series Paper that Lyn has used is the new Share What You Love paper from the Share What You Love suite. This paper is thick and gorgeous, and it's a double pack, so you can do heaps more with it than you usually can! The flower has been cut from the Designer Series Paper.

Lyn finished it off beautifully with the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls, and the Pearlised Doilies. The small pearls are in the same colours as the rest of the bundle - perfect for coodinating to really finish your projects off beautifully. The Pearlised Doilies are just gorgeous - one side is white, the other is pearlised, so there is a shimmer on it. They will be able to go with so many of your projects, and with any colours.

The card that Lyn used was 5.5 x 4.25 inches, and the small legs were cut at 1inch.
