How do I adhere vellum without the adhesive showing?

This is an age old crafters question!

I love the look of vellum - it's soft and gentle, and gives things a lovely frosted look. Stampin’ Up!® has divine printed vellums - have you seen the pack in the new Occasions Catalogue?

One of the problems inherent with vellum is how do you adhere it to anything without the glue showing?  You can always place embellishments in strategic places, but that won't always work.  Read on and see what I learnt from a seasoned crafter (I can't remember who or where sorry, but I really appreciate the tip)

You can see here that I have used a piece of vellum, but you can't see the adhesive.  It's actually very simple - I used the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets that Stampin’ Up!® sell, and it's as easy as that!  I covered the whole piece of vellum with the adhesive, and problem solved!

Incredible Like You Project Kit

Thank you for stopping by my blog - it's been a very long time since I've posted here, and I plan to change that.

I set a too high expectation on myself - that I would blog daily.  I have spent some serious time considering what is possible and realistic for me, and I'm going to start posting 3 times per week - starting today.

I've never made up a project kit before, but I sat down and did this one, and I really enjoyed it.  Look at what I made!

It's a bit hard to judge how long it took me as I got interrupted a lot, however it was only around 1.5 hours for all 16 cards.

This kit is all inclusive - the only things you need to have is Lovely Lipstick and Coastal Cabana ink, and an adhesive (I chose to use the Liquid Multi Purpose Glue, also known as Tombow).

The stamp set is fabulous that comes with it, and I know I'll be able to use it for heaps of other projects.

I love the sentiments - very uplifting, and just perfect for sending a card at any time to someone you appreciate.  The flower is perfect for colouring, too!

I needed some birthday cards, so I changed some of the sentiments. The cards for the sentiments are part of the kit, but as you stamp the sentiment on, I figured I could use another set as long as the sentiment fitted.  I used the Perennial Birthday set.

This kit however doesn't stop here - there is also a lovely box with a flap/dome lid to keep the cards in

I absolutely love the detail on this box - it's made of a firm plastic, so will hold your cards and keep them in beautiful condition.

If you need a large number of cards but don't have heaps of time to make them, then I totally recommend this kit.  I'm going to run a class making this, as it will fit perfectly in one of my evening classes.
